Pros

Pros: The friendships that were built among co-workers was the only thing that made coming into work Mon-Fri remotely enduring.

Cons

Cons: Way too many of them to even write about. Horrible C-level management, strange money transactions with the middle east, too many bugs in new releases, you name it HRsmart did it. If any business student wanted to learn on how to NOT run a technology company, I would highly and I mean highly recommend going to work for HRsmart.

Easy to get hired and gain experience; software people enjoy relatively flexible hours; laid-back work environment; social events.

Cons

Terrible compensation; mediocre benefits; strong quantity-over-quality mentality; lots of relatives and family members working together; brown-nosing results in more promotions than doing good work; nerds with no people skills become managers; strong reluctance to upgrading software and equipment; abuse and blackmail of H-1B personnel; numerous layoffs; childish, unstable upper management; questionable future; subpar building condition and amenities; constant break-ins and parking lot robberies.

Pros

Highly competent co-workers, supervisors and managers make collaboration a joy and the end results top-notch. Intelligence, humor and teamwork were exactly what I was looking for in a larger organization filled with small teams.

Cons

Despite the decades of combined experience on the team, designs, products, ideas for improvement and general forward momentum would be thwarted at the whim of the CEO or his wife who was not on the pay roll, yet was a driving force behind more than anyone expected or, in some cases, could handle.
