Pros

Corporate HR is amazing. Casual dress unless clients are coming in then you have to pretend you dress nice everyday.

Cons

Pay is NOT competitive. Unused vacation and personal days do not carry over. No career progression unless you're friends with your direct manager. Expectations for you to work nights, weekends and holidays if you want to go anywhere in the company. Do not tell you dress code, phone policies, overtime policies when hired. If you ask they won't answer. You'll then be reprimanded if you break their unknown policy. Absolutely no training. They brag of having billions in assets yet don't give support or training to employees. Management will not listen to concerns if you are new to the company. Management only cares about the account executives. No onsite HR. 1 employee is given the responsibilities of 5. Management puts clients before anything and everyone.

HUB International Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not a positive one. HUB takes all feedback seriously and is always seeking ways to improve its work environment. HUB’s benefits package is carefully designed to ensure we are providing good benefits at a reasonable cost and follow all local/federal guidelines. Our pay and benefits are fair based on market studies. We are proud to foster an environment where professional growth is encouraged and supported. Career progression is based on a number of factors including skill, position availability and company/individual performance. All new hires are provided with an overview of Company policies/procedures by their manager and participate in a benefits webinar facilitated by Regional HR. Our offices are business casual as an added benefit, but client meetings may require more business-like attire, at times. HUB believes in creating an environment where employees can succeed and includes structured training (usually 2 weeks, or so, depending on the office and position) as well as shadowing co-workers. Additionally, employee opinions matter and are valued. Local management is available to address concerns and Regional HR is always available as an alternative. The Company provides an annual employee engagement survey to solicit additional information about the work environment at HUB and to share ideas on how to improve. Again, we thank you for your feedback as it will continue to help us improve so that everyone feels HUB is a great place to work.
