Great Place to Work, but Beware the Stacks.
Pros
The discount is great, but beware your buying habits or else you'll simply be paying HPB to let you hang out at the store. Your co-workers are almost always awesome and everybody knows how to have a laugh and be pleasant. The customers are 99% of the time very grateful for any help and always very patient. The PTO is great and monthly store meetings really help the sense of teamwork . Overall, an amazing place and company to work for.
Cons
Somewhat erratic work hours, some co-workers with a curmudgeonly demeanor, and the pay starts out small, but that seems to be the norm these days. The level of dust can be a little high sometimes. Also, people really need to stop bringing in moldy books and vampire romance books thinking they are going to get a high payout when they sell them to us.
