Pros
The other servers and hosts are generally really cool people and easy to get along with. If you’re pressed for money, because of their insane employee turnover you can rack up pretty good hours working here. Free shift meal — however not guaranteed if they feel like you didn’t work hard enough
Cons
Not worth the money at all being a host. As a host you are the traditional host role (managing system and seating people) but they definitely want you to be a good runner and a busser as well — you’re expected to buss all tables even though servers usually aren’t doing anything, we had to run food and alcoholic beverages in extreme heat even though we have runners for this reason and there’s a lot of pressure on hosts to have tables available even though we’re encouraged not to rush people up. When i worked there it was extremely loud and congested, tables are very close together. The house phone we used was horrible to hear on. Management we’re very much micromanagers, they were not very trusting of new employees and often blatantly lied and pulled you aside to have conversations about poor performance on things that they have never previously corrected you on.
