Pros

Somewhat of a flexible work schedule.

Cons

Many weeks where you will only receive 9 hours a week; tell you you can come into stores whatever time works best for you(evenings/ couple of hrs before close) especially during holidays to avoid crowds while working, then tell you managers at stores complain you’re there later hours or must be there only when store Receiver is there in case you need anything when the only interaction of any at all you do is drop off the receiving papers on their desk without even having to see them or they be in work that day. Tell you your locations only for the current merchandiser they want to remove it from refuses to give it up so you now don’t have that store or long after the ones who leave have left, you still haven’t picked up those stores, hence, no more additional hours to pick up. They host don’t want you to to work more than those 9 hours. During holiday months, they give no more than 20, 22 max. hours to service multiple stores expecting unreachable goals in the hours they give you, expecting you to visit all the stores on expected days (even tho they told you you could visit on your schedule provided it meets due dates and changeovers within reason) without including the commute time it takes to reach them all. They tell you to ask your territory supervisor (TS) to help but then the TS complains and tells you you shouldn’t be asking to help with changeovers (changeovers of holidays) and should be able to do it all yourself regardless if it’s a store with a large department and multiple items (gift wrap, gifts, candy, etc above cards). Minimum wage with maybe 50 cents more is the hourly pay minus tax is not worth even the flexibility for moms or retirees/anyone looking for extra income. There’s no extra by the time you factor in gas either.

Pros

The culture is great at Hallmark, super flexible hybrid environment with very kind and understanding people

Cons

Very hard for any upward mobility, the company seems to struggle financially and has a hard time giving any promotions or bonuses, makes employees feel stuck constantly.
