Pros

Aweseme benefits, great leadership and plenty of opportunity to cross train and learn from the best of the best security experts all in once company. HALOCK encourages hard work and rewards high performing employees with promotions and bonuses. Speaking from experience :)

Cons

There is more demand than we can supply at the moment therefore, everyone has a lot on their plate and that keeps it interesting for me at least. The management is trying their best to alleviate some of the growing pains by hiring more employees and working with individuals one on one to understand and address any concerns.

Pros

Perfect for the self-driven employee. The leadership at Halock is visionary, and the pace is FAST. This company is in the top of its game, so there are no excuses. You don't have to worry about the dreaded cube-loafers that come sit by your desk with a cup of joe and waste your time. Those people won't last long here. This company has a cohesive working environment; like-minded individuals passionate about information security, forensics, and the important jobs they complete for their clients. It's awesome to wake up and know you're going to make a difference. Halock was the first company I went to work for after spending a successful 13 years at IBM. It was such an energizing change, one full of self-challenges, camaraderie, and teamwork. The learning curve is huge and the experience gained, in my opinion, is unparalleled. It's exciting to work with and for a company that is moving mountains for their customers and making a difference.

Cons

The cons of working for Halock seem to be centered around the following cyclical scenario: For example, I hired the absolute best consultants away from 2 separate competitors to come work for Halock. Each came in with egos based on their previous experience and interest in moving up the ladder with Halock. They quickly learned, however, that HALOCK has no shortage of talent, and they were having to, gasp, work HARD for the first time in their lives. The cream always rises to the top: consultants not cutting the mustard will move on, as the pressure to perform is too great. Salespeople, however, not making their numbers will simply not be around in a quarter. Not to lump an entire generation into a single category, but there seems to be a series of young kids out there with a great sense of entitlement. On the surface, they play the part of self-driven and interested in success. But out in the field, however, the bottom line is this type of individual is incapable of performance and self-reliance. This "me me me" selfie-demographic seems to be stymied when they have to swim in the deep-end. I would urge this generation or set of folks to look elsewhere to get your bread buttered. Halock is fast-paced and they will not hand you a pacifier, a life vest, or any tissues. Halock is making their mark in the security workspace, but most importantly, they reward their hard working employees with a great job, fabulous benefits, and excellent experience.

Pros

- a fantastic industry to be in - Halock offers the opportunity to work with some very talented people in the security space - great connections will be made for your next job

Cons

- there are too many cooks in the kitchen; too much focus on processes and not enough focus on bringing in new, sustainable business - no training offered; no encouragement to network or go to conferences; no marketing (PR piecemeal does not count as a marketing plan) - management isn't interested in people. They want cogs for their machine. Even if you have a proven way of doing something, it doesnt matter. Management is more interested in having the process done their way even if it means they bring in only half the deals they could.
