      Great place to get starter

      Pros

      The pay is good and they give fair raises based on performance and seniority. Thorough training and helpful management always there to answer questions.

      Cons

      As a first job, it can be an intense atmosphere to work in. Interview process is not very intense and job turnover is high.

      Pros

      Okay time off policy. Middle Managers are good for the most part.

      Cons

      Upper management is on their own agenda. It's all about self promotion to them. In one word its all about politics.They don't involve all of the subject matter experts before making decisions. This results in poor decision making and has impacted the bottom line and employee morale.They have abanded many of the programs which made them sucessful and a leader in the industry. Since Delhaize purchased them the main focus has become the bottom line and this has impacted the quality of their products and the ability to attract and retain talented associates. They continue to "take away" benefits and incentives and do so in the name of "job security" or " Company profitability". They do this all the while increasing Top Executives compensation.
