Pros

The staff is friendly and you feel like you are doing something to help the community regardless of the position you hold. Plenty of paid time off. Regular raises. Tons of room for growth. Several locations to work at throughout the city.

Cons

Poor starting wages and lack of full time opportunity to start

Pros

The dedication to patients. The culture of the work environment was good.

Cons

Weekends were not staffed well. There was an expectation of continued quality care however, there were times when no back would be provided. Management separate from office staff.

At Harbor, we put a lot of effort into developing a patient-centered culture, and to ensure the patients are receiving the highest quality care possible. I’m glad to hear that our staff is upholding this culture. There is currently a shortage of qualified mental health professionals in Northwest Ohio and across the nation, and, while we are actively recruiting, this shortage has had an impact on our caseloads. Regardless, we encourage management to meet with their staff regularly, and to be open to feedback. I do hope you took advantage of the opportunity to voice your concerns about weekend staffing prior to your leaving. Thank you for taking the time to review Harbor. Best of luck.

Pros

Varied patient types. Good support staff.

Cons

Management is clueless. Focus on Money. No real concern of chronically ill population. Sends patients to collections although they get 30 million from the state

As the largest mental health provider in Northwest Ohio, we serve over 23,000 clients annually. We strive for clinical & care management excellence for our clients and take pride in our excellent team including doctors, clinicians, and support staff. We are an organization that meets the varied demands of a population that is under served in every community. Our case loads are heavy, our clients are demanding, and our resources are ever changing. However, our staff goes the extra mile for our clients every day. The opportunity to meet with leadership is available for any staff member at our quarterly town hall meetings, but if there is an issue that needs to be resolved immediately myself or any member of the leadership team would gladly sit down and discuss it. I do hope you took advantage of the opportunity to let leadership know your feelings before you left. Thank you for taking the time to review Harbor on Glassdoor. Best of luck in your career.
