Pros

Good pay and Its Harley Davidson!

Cons

High expectations for getting to much work done. They care only about how many motors getting out the door. There saying is quality over quantity but more like quantity over quality. I have been a hd casual for 3 years now and still not fully hired on. They only hire people who kiss butt and not the ones who work there butts off. No opportunity to advance. Some managers are racist. They don't care about anyone's personal life.

Pros

Lots of perks, especially if you like motorcycles. The pay is very good, and working for this company presents many great opportunities that you would not have working other places.

Cons

All large publicly traded companies have to abide by this generic set of rules throughout the organization (think HR department). The interesting thing about H-D however, is the fact that many of these corporate ideals conflict with the brand's own identity. One example- If a beautiful model posed for a harley-davidson calendar, you likely can't hang said calendar at your desk because it's "offensive". BUT IT'S A HARLEY-DAVIDSON CALENDAR!!

Pros

Developing products that connect the world. Passionate employees, great pay, can be yourself (dress/appearance wise), lots of opportunity for personal development, tuition reimbursement, knowledgeable employees, a rich 110 year history,...

Cons

Poor leadership; Lack of genuine vision. A culture of mistrust and fear. Lack of true innovation, due to fear of failing. Bottom-line/shareholder centric, instead of employee centric. Lots of passionate, talented employees have left the company. Lots of non-passionate, cut-rate contractors/new employees replacing them. Too much time spent documenting process and "checking boxes" instead of designing and developing awesome motorcycles. The internal culture does not reflect what Harley-Davidson stands for and projects out to it's customers/the world. It's very hypocritical.
