Pros

Big Five publisher, well-known imprints and authors. Some nice jacket designs. A few really good books.

Cons

Job as described and actual responsibilities did not match. Little to no support – more of a sink or swim culture. Constant pressure, little recognition. Lots of stress, fear, and paranoia. Some groups were barely trained at all. There are some very difficult, obnoxious personalities that I had to deal with daily. Mixed messages about overtime. Continued rumors about more positions being relocated to the Princeton, NJ area office.

Pros

Good pay, great location, nice opportunity to understand how a multinational company works

Cons

Company's enviroment is crazy -- everyone is constantly trying to backstab everyone else. The management is not very competent either.
