Pros

Open, collaborative team. Working at HarperOne has been a great educational experience, and it doesn't hurt that they pay their interns. Interns get to work with top notch editors and direct supervisor for the Intern program is great.

Cons

Internships should be longer than 3 months. Working with the hiring agency they use to pay interns was frustrating.

Pros

Fun work and environment. Good location. Got some perks. Support from some managers. Easy moves to different departments.

Cons

Leadership is untrained. Favouritism and jobs keep getting bigger for bad publishing pay.

Pros

Historic publisher with long tradition of bestsellers and quality publishing; great training and place to gain experience.

Cons

Slow to promote; top-heavy with senior level management. Salary levels are low for the industry.
