Pros

There are good opportunities if you are willing to work [very] hard. Many great coworkers who love books. Excellent benefits.

Cons

Currently very understaffed with very uneven workloads. Often poor communication from management. Some rules don't seem to apply to everyone.

Could Have Been Better

Pros

Great co-workers, lots of intelligence, vibrancy and humor in the workplace. Constant stream of engaging work on big bestselling books.

Cons

Workplace revolved around favoritism. Certain people made more vertical moves than others, and the employee turnover was surprisingly high. Lots of people expressed discontent at the length of time it took to receive promotions they felt were long overdue, at least compared to other publishing houses.
