Pros

Definitely the people - HarperCollins epitomises what is great about working in an open environment like the majority of book publishing. The work-life balance is also fantastic. You're likely to work with a huge variety of products from across one of the most renowned publishing lists in the industry - including famous heritage brands like Agatha Christie and J.R.R. Tolkien. There is also good scope for progression, and average remuneration and benefits are fair and competitive.

Cons

Can be very competitive with lots of highly skilled people in the industry. Entry-level remuneration is also below average and you have to progress before you see a salary-level that competes with equivalent sales positions in other industries.
