Pros

People are nice and the vacation time is good

Cons

Management don't care about what is going on in their departments. People are overly social and obviously not doing work but that is ok???

Pros

Summer hours. Typical 9-5, never stayed past 6. Great heath benefits. People are generally friendly. Relaxed office.

Cons

So many cons. Typical cubicle culture. If you're starting out as entry level, don't bother. The pay is terrible. I asked for a salary negotiation when I was hired, and HR flat out refused. I accepted anyways, thinking I could work my way up, but I was wrong. They promote mid-range to senior quite often, but discourage promoting a junior. I was reviewed countless times praising me for work performance, but never offered a promotion or raise. Upper management does not want to see you grow. I was promised multiple times that I would get better work and responsibilities but this was always "coming down the pipeline".

Pros

Decent benefits, days off and vacation pay.

Cons

If you are being subsidized by your parents or you have an "in" with one of the several thousand Vice Presidents, then you may enjoy it ... But if you have a brain in your head, you will HATE the politics and back stabbing by a cadre of wolves. As in all bureaucracies, mediocrity is rewarded and excellence is punished. Beware...
