      Common Sense rules- Business Minded

      Pros

      The management is willing to try new things and do what it takes to grow the business. They are driven by numbers and results. You get freedom to do what is best for the client as long as you can manage the workload and make a business case. Work life balance is great and they will do what makes sense.

      Cons

      HR is very slow in general and this takes the excitement out of the hiring process - perhaps to make you settle for a lower number. Bonuses are nothing to write home about. Lots of assumptions that you know what every other business unit is doing, even if you never heard of them.

      Thank you for your comments. We definitely foster an environment of autonomy. We continue to look at our HR and hiring process and add resources as necessary. We also have worked hard to improve the overall understanding of Harris; verticals, business units, business model, and culture. We will keep this as a priority.

      Like any company there is good and bad but overall a terrific organization

      Pros

      Great customers, corporate lets most business units maintain the course of their business independently. No micro managing. Good working environment and we feel like a family. You will be crazy busy, not that is not always a bad thing.

      Cons

      With all families, there are some issues. Sometimes need more from corporate to make sure our clients are taken care of satisfactorily. Need to plan for the future and not wait to the problems occur. Be active and not reactive. Very lean. Need to hire more support.

      Has potential, but leadership is not in sync

      Pros

      Becoming more customer-driven. Mid-size company but still affords the opportunity to connect with top leadership. Offers career growth potential.

      Cons

      The operating unit level leadership is not on the same page with top-level leaders or with each other, resulting in poor decision making and hurting the potential that is there.
