run like a corporation with many audits / checks and balances / way to many rules and regulations as if the stores are some form of high risk surgical operating theater that must have everything checked off taking you away from what you really should be doing and that is 'customer service'l

Labor management could at times baffles you to on ends. Upper management will give you advice on what you need to do to get the job done, but then gives you even more reason why they will not provide you witht the resource for you to do what you need to do because the job market doesn't support it--sales down, expense up, etc.
