Constant layoffs

Pros

Half day Fridays are great. Movie screenings.

Cons

Salaries are non-competitive. Health insurance is really bad, it only covers routine visits and any sick visits are not covered. They do not listen to women’s opinions, which has resulted in bad product and bad PR. Some senior leaders are simply not smart and you wonder how they got to their level. Many senior leaders look like clones: white, male, 50ish years old. Many offer non-constructive feedback and turn a cool toy into a dull toy to save $0.03. The company pretends to be ethical yet keeps much of its money in offshore bank accounts and after the Trump tax breaks Hasbro bought back stocks and dumped profits back to shareholders. Less than a year later, they laid off hundreds of employees. The company uses very antiquated policies and systems, which compromises product quality and slows efficiencies. I think the only reason the company is so successful is because they made smart investments and bought great brands. Workload is out of control and some teams are pretty toxic. There seems to be no rhyme or reason on who is promoted or laid off. Really talented devoted employees have been laid off and then others that seem to just skirt by get promoted.
