Constantly under threat layoffs. No accountability of team. Some people don't show up to work, but still get paid. No acknowledgement of contributions, or going above and beyond, other than a passing notation on your review. Poor performance is overlooked if the employee is going to cause trouble. Optics are everything, and they don't want "negative press". On the flip side, someone else has to pick up their slack and go an extra mile to get everything completed on time. Their extra work is ignored, while the slacker continues to get raises and bonuses. Afraid to try anything new. Senior managers have been there 20+ years and are set in their ways. Anything new, different or a change to "the way we've always done it" is discouraged.
