Pros

Nice, casual culture. Excellent benefits and time off. Half-day Fridays. Management makes concerted effort to communicate vision and strategy, both when things are going well and not as well. Very family friendly.

Cons

Most decisions are financially driven, and Hasbro is a financially conservative company. Additional resources (people, time, budget) are extremely hard to come by. If you work in a small department, opportunities for advancement are hard to come by or non-existent. In these cases, the onus is placed on the you to network for other opportunities or figure out a way to create a new opportunity.

Pros

Hasbro valued it's employees and would hold a lot of support for brands or kickoff events upon new product launches. Most of the time all levels of employees were invited and for some, attendance was mandatory. It was a positive experience for me to learn how the corporate world went about the daily business.

Cons

Working there I learned why Hasbro will only be the number 2 toy company and will never be the number 1 toy company. As you work with people repetitively you will tend to notice the ones that work and the ones that delegate so they don't have to. You also have to maintain a relationship with your supervisor in order for information to be passed on within departments. if you keep it to a strictly work relationship you will not last long.

Pros

Hasbro offers great brands and a fast pace - it's fun to see your work come to life on shelf in a matter of months.

Cons

There are just too many mean people and it can get a bit cliquish like high school.
