Pros

The teamwork between nurses is great.

Cons

The nurses at Center City are on strike if that says anything about the business. The relationship between nurses and counselors is very strained. Also unsafe working environments due to patients getting in fights or bringing in contraband and not getting discharged. They need more mental health workers, but they are on a hiring freeze for that right now and it is absolutely killing us. The business only cares about money and it is very obvious. Many patients are racist towards others and nothing comes of that either.

Pros

love my coworkers. Support for one another is unlike any other place I have worked.

Cons

Upper Management needs to work a day on the floor. I have never worked for a company that has such little disregard for medical and nursing as this. place does. A patient doesn't like the food? send them to nursing. Someone doesn't get along with their hall mates? send them to nursing. They overwhelm nurses and medical with matters that can and should be handled by other departments. Upper management is condescending and uneducated when it comes to anything medical, yet they make medical decisions.
