Pros

Having used Headspace personally for many years, it really was my dream job to work here. I really can't imagine how some of the reviewers on here got so angry and resentful. Of course there are growing pains, but they're no different from any other fast-paced startup. I haven't experienced any of the toxic management that's referenced here, though I have seen some senior managers come and go in the 1.5 years I've been here. At the end of the day, I feel like there are a lot of brilliant and compassionate people at this company that are dedicated to making the world a happier and healthier place. The perk and benefits are amazing, but the people are the best part about working here. Headspace has done an amazing job of hiring good culture fits and the Headspace for Work team specifically is an amazing group of humans. Headspace is definitely the best meditation app on the market and it's very exciting to be a part of such a great, successful company that continues to grow.

Cons

Typical growing pains, a lot of shake-ups in senior management in the last year.

Pros

- There are a lot of brilliant, mission-driven employees who truly care about Headspace’s mission - Delicious catered lunch almost daily - Generous work from home and PTO policies (that’s sadly abused by many)

Cons

- Clueless executive team that constantly shifts the strategic goals and priorities for the company - Stalled innovation for core product; desperately seeking to but can’t seem to match the innovation coming Calm and other competitors - Eng department is losing critical engineers and it’s reflected in quality of the product - Full of inexperienced and truly toxic managers who either drive people away with with their incompetencies or push our folks they deem threats - Shady HR practices - There is an alarming lack of diversity in management positions

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. We're currently in the process of an internal GLINT engagement survey which directly asks employees about the majority of the topics you mention above. I urge you to take the survey, if you haven't already, and to ask your team mates to do the same as it's only with consistent data we can affect change. I'm 100\% committed to ensuring that feedback like this is the exception and not the rule and if you'd like to speak with me in confidence I'd be very happy to take a walk with you.Louisa CartwrightVP People

Pros

Nice building Great food and snacks Friendly people overall

Cons

Really poor and untrustworthy leadership at the top Extreme back-stabbing and politics starting at the top Insecure CEO and inexperienced c-suite Arrogance (especially about superiority over competition) Everyone is walking on egg shells and unclear about the future of their jobs or the state of the company
