      * Really nice, smart, and collaborative people to work with (this type of company attracts a certain kind of great person) * Transparency from management team + willingness to change operational things that are broken * Encouragement to be mindful / take time to meditate at work (or go on a walk, whatever is good to keep your brain from burning out) * Get to work for a company where the more you sell, the more good you're doing for the world * Really good benefits * Nice office in Santa Monica right next to expo line * Free lunch every day! * Bring your dog to work

      * Growth seems to equal constant restructuring (normal though?) * Shifting priorities / too many priorities

      Pros

      I'm a long-time meditator, so I'm thrilled to be working at a company that's trying to bring the practice to the world; it's been a great benefit to me, and I hope it can be as beneficial to others. As an engineer, I've found the team to be incredibly thoughtful, open-minded, and invested in creating a high-quality product. Senior management seems genuinely invested in keeping the whole company informed, happy, productive, and focussed on our mission. Work-life balance is also amazing - I arrive at 9 and leave at 5 each day. The office is also an awesome space - I genuinely look forward to coming to work each day.

      Cons

      The company is growing really fast, which adds a fair amount of chaos to the environment. It also leads to things like fairly frequent reorganizations, as we have to create new structures to accommodate the growing team.

      Pros

      - Office space is open, inviting, collaborative and encourages creativity - No pressure to take part in in-office meditation sessions, but extremely helpful! - Hands down the best office culture I've experienced. While a lot of companies may say that they encourage a very positive office culture, Headspace is actually one of those companies that truly believes in it and makes it their absolute top priority. - Ever since I joined Headspace, my productivity has gone up, ability to focus has sharpened, and in turn helped me to produce some of my best work

      - We need more talent! (specifically engineering)
