Pros

It used to be a great place to work, with great perks and empathetic co-workers. There used to be 4.5 day workweeks (every other Friday off) and remote work focused around some core hours. However, other than some lovely folks working there, these perks are no more.

Cons

Incredibly disorganized with no clear pathway to profitability. Mass benefit cuts, but no increase in pay. The 4.5 day workweeks are gone and the CEO just announced RTO with no clear justification. Poor work-life balance, and huge amounts of technical debt. They claim they have achieved recent profitability, but it's only because of mass cost reduction through layoffs, people leaving, and outsourcing.

Pros

Good mission. Globally recognized brand and products. Some incredibly smart and talented people to work with and learn from.

Cons

Was once a great place to work when there was money in the bank and forecasted growth was being realized. Benefits that were once really good have been cut multiple times, Pay was once above average although gaps between certain teams and individuals were questionable. Pay for open roles a lot less than before. Several rounds of layoffs to date with more to come? New CEO, came in and first acts were a layoff and getting rid of a significant benefit called Mind Days which was literally every other Friday off to rest and recharge. You can imagine how beloved that benefit was. This varied between teams but almost zero room for growth. Imagine it’s worse now unless you’re both incredible at your job and you are able to shove your nose very high up into the anuses of the right people across several teams and departments. Product and mission seem to have lost the plot, top heavy org, too many cooks in the kitchen. I will say it’s probably a great opportunity for someone to come in help drive growth. It’s much needed and I imagine you can reap rewards if you can do that.
