Pros

HealthEquity cares and really strives to maintain a good balance of consideration for their team and the business. The people are the best and are always looking to each other for improvements. They give back to their employees through fun things like events, activities, but also meaningful things focus on wellness with an incentive and great benefits.

Cons

Growth. They are growing so fast I worry that they haven't put the time, money, or energy into the structure or leadership team to maintain it all. If they are doing this I'd love them to share with the whole company.

Pros

Having spent more than a decade at other employers, it's refreshing to see there are employers, even pretty large employers, that care individually about it's employees. They have training to further your career, a clear career ladder in most departments so you know what you need to do to be promoted. They spend the time to put together cohesive teams that care about one another; this synergy creates a positive happy atmosphere to work. Friends are easy to make. HR listens and is adaptive to suggestions.

Cons

HealthEquity is growing leaps and bounds each year. This growth creates growing pains. Some teams have a lot of churn, not because they're leaving the company but because their talents are needed on other teams. Growth creates opportunity, but as I said before, some pains too. Growth also means that training is in early stages in some departments. It also means that procedures are changing frequently which leads to change. Some people don't like a lot of change. Those who don't like a lot of change will really struggle at HealthEquity.

Pros

Purple culture is great in theory. Promotes from within. There is always free food.

Cons

Not everyone can enjoy the purple culture because you are tied to your desk by the phone. Hire experienced management - don't just hire someone because you're friends with them. Hire for merit. Training is informative but sometimes (often) the trainer gives wrong information and despratly lacks the real world calls you get from members. There is way too much micromanaging. We're all adults, treat employees as such a day with more respect. Trying to get time off is the worst! They preach to be empathetic to members but there is no empathy for employees. Getting time off is next to impossible.
