Pros

* Great Benefits * Great PTO and Work/Life Balance * Everyone is friendly and generally there is a fairly relaxed work environment

Cons

* Pay is extremely under scale compared to market values for comparable work. I understand it's partially because "non-profit", but it's also because people never leave, and the productivity is fairly low per employee (see above about relaxed work environment) * Not great about career progression - really poor about training opportunities and because no one leaves (or get fired), it's a very stagnant environment.

Pros

loved my coworkers and some of the supervisors, good benefits (PTO), loved my work

Cons

Some of the work can be hard to do, you get way too many corrections from many different supervisors that contradict each other so for some reason you are ALWAYS doing something wrong. Got let go from my supervisor b/c she didn't like me and didn't follow regulations, it was wrongful termination

Pros

Really good benefits. Interesting work and always busy. Nice people to work with.

Cons

Management have technical business skills but lack in the skills for hiring employees and keeping them. Surveys are good but when you only tackle the easy problems (smells in the bathroom) that are merely cosmetic you are not looking out for your human resources. When Epic managers are willing to openly state that they know the average tenure of their employees is only 18 months with the attitude "if they don't want to work here someone else will" maybe that in itself needs to be addressed. Merger is adding a ton of stress to application teams that are already stressed. Work teams are really silo-ed. Little face to face with other teams outside of quick online or phone interactions. Teams spend too much time spinning their own wheels before getting anyone involved, if they ever do. Lack of in-house training opportunities.
