      Pros

      Good hospital and ancillary staff. Large hospitalist Group

      Cons

      Overbearing adminstration. Favoritism in the hospitalist group based on racism. Locals from MN and caucasian the group given more favorably schedules, more chances for advancement and more teaching opportunities. The group is not equitable - the senior members have too much control/preference/say leading to lack of demoncracy.

      Pros

      Innovative organization. Often sense an upbeat energy. Pay and benefits good, with steadfast Union representation.

      Cons

      Finding support challenging, given multiple layers of management. Energy in clinic often anxious, as if everyone is afraid to make a mistake...training is inadequate in primary care, and feedback energy and tone can be unecessarily negative, and harsh. Must it be delivered as "discipline?" This sort of feedback common, can be draining and deflect energy better channeled into clinical excellence.

      The people. The idea of better healthcare. Commitment to patients and members.

      Cons

      Top down management. Secrecy. No value of employees, as clearly noted on badges that largely state EMPLOYEE, not department or position. No work life balance. Good luck having HP develop you for advancement. Better be part of the "yes, sir! Whatever, sir!" club to advance. Be ready to lose all of your energy and motivation to work.
