Painful and Psychologically Unsafe

Pros

Few selective team members only

Cons

So many that cannot be even counted. Leadership is micromanaging, condescending and will find every way to demonstrate heroism instead of collaboration. For a startup, it has horrible culture with lack of trust within employees, and leadership insanely promotes it. What a shame! Titles are inflated, promotions are biased, and employees are petrified to open up and share their feelings.

Pros

There are some really great, smart, and talented people there. You can get a great manager and team. The work itself ranges from normal to interesting. If you have a good manager, your day-to-day work culture is probably pretty great.

Cons

It is a company ruled by king Andrew Kress and king Andrew Goldberg. Everyone in the company is either a blind sycophant or knows what is really up and just keeps quiet. They are two pretty decent business men, but the worst leaders you'll ever see. The people/HR team is the worst I have ever seen. They have incredibly fragile egos, take no criticism or feedback - and are actively hostile. It is a small enough startup, that you can wind up being stuck in somebody's bad list. There are not guardrails or procedures in place to ensure favoritism and a cult-like mentality is not created. Do not question the Andrews. Do not question the people team. They are always right. Also, they have very mediocre benefits and do not pay well or give raises.
