Management has a problem in that they are overloaded with many other facilities to take into account what happens at one specific facility. District manager oversees and is responsible for many facilities, in district, to really know what happens at any one place. There is a disconnect from upper management and the actual facility managers on how facilities function and may work better. It is a case of expecting it to work, but not knowing how it works.
This specific facility was located in a very wealthy and well to do area and the wages for prospective staff would be lower end making acquiring and keeping staff hard since any prospective staff would have to come from other areas of the city to a farther location for less.
The work life balance is very bad with exceedingly long days over 8 hours and stretches of days without time off since there was a lack of staff. Management is there, but unable to really help you either because they do not know how a department specifically functions and or cannot help you because they maybe spread out, again with other facilities. It is a case of HCSG management not having a knowledgeable relationship with facility administration and actual facility managers on how a specific facility functions and what is needed to function properly. Priority is bottom line, budgets, and profits on HCSG's end and not the residents of the facility.
