Pros

My immediate co-workers were a lot of fun to work with. It was at least better than not having a job, though not by much. I did manage to pad my resume by working there for 2 years.

Cons

In the two years I worked for them They went through 6 managers, and 4 district managers. 2 of the managers were fired, one for theft, the other for sexual harassment, and all the rest of them quit. it was like watching rats flee a sinking ship. And, rats is just what they were. I have never met so many two-faced liars in my life. When I was hired in I was told I'd be making 9 dollars an hour, and there were good benefits, and holiday pay and, paid time off. I was paid 7.50 an hour, there were no benefits, no holiday pay, and no time off in the first year, and very little unpaid time off after that. They did start offering benefits after I had been there for a while, but at $500 a pay period I decided to decline that offer. They also refused to provide us with personal protective equipment. I worked in a kitchen with equipment that was mostly long past its prime, a lot of it was rigged together and barely worked. On top of that, the company couldn't afford to buy all the food needed to feed the residents in the nursing home, we always had to improvise, or buy things out of our own pockets. All of this added up to enough stress to give me ulcers, I have never had stomach issues in my life before this or since. I was 24 when I quit working for them.

Terrible Company

Pros

Honestly, the only positive with this company at an Account Manager position is you get experience with operations management, payroll, some administrative management.

Cons

Where do I begin... Very stressful and frustrating work environment. Upper management will not allow you to have any vacation days and if asked they give you threats about your job security. I've worked every holiday since I have been with the company. You deal with frontline employees so they come and go as they please. Also, when I took over my facility I was promised a guaranteed salary but later I found out that I was getting paid significantly below it. When I tried to contact corporate I was sent a rabbit chase, everyone avoided me.

Pros

-As long as you understand your facility's needs and have a competent staff, the hours are yours to pick and choose -Learn a ton of valuable skills that can translate elsewhere (i.e. budgeting, supply orders, scheduling, staff communication etc...) -Learn a fair amount about the Healthcare industry from multiple aspects including: dietary, social services, activities, administration, rehab and medical -401K, Stock options, company health insurance, 90-Day raise --Overall a decent job that pays ok and offers a ton of room to build your resume. I would recommend staying in long enough to gain solid work experience and then leaving for a better paying job.

Cons

-Work-Life balance can suck, once again depending on your staff and the facility's needs -Occasional night projects can be a pain but you really only stay until 2-3 in the morning and the finished results are very rewarding -Pay is a good amount below average, but ok for entry level -Company gets skimpy with supplies towards the end of quarters or the year -Training is kind of rushed and incomplete leaving new account managers to fend for themselves on some things -Corporate HR can be a real pain to communicate with, MAKE SURE YOUR PAPERWORK IS PERFECT! -Some Facility Administrators can be a real pain, just do what they ask and try your best to get on their good side. It will make life easier
