It's paycheck-thats all....that you have too work far too long and hard to get. Forget about taking care of patients or residents...they are no where near the importance of the almighty buck
Cons
This company is so tight, they'd step over a quarter to pick up a nickle. They offer vacation time...then tell you use it or lose it...if not used by the end of the fiscal year, they take it away. They call it a gift not earned PTO. Then to top it off, they won't let you can take more than 2 days in a given payperiod. Payroll....always wrong, people not paid correctly or do not get a paycheck --even when they have been working for them for months or years. Suddenly HCSG just forgets to pay them. Often HCSG will expect you to do your job and fill in at another location.....but if you are salary, then you are doing it out of the goodness of your heart, definitely not for compensation. Then there are the reports...reports and more reports. And the report format, type, frequency will change ...sometimes weekly. I love the way the company advertises on their web site that they offer excellent benefits. Really...I say again REALLY? Not eligible for health insurance until you have been with the company for a year. Then try paying the exorbitant cost for the health insurance....may take your whole months income just to get fair coverage for yourself. You will find better on your own without their 'group' discount. No 401K...but after a years service they might let you buy stock in the company. If you make a paperwork mistake with a new employee....say they sign on the line below 'sign here'.... and should have signed above the line.....Home office will throw the entire package away, never inform you so you wait and wait for the company to approve the hire. But please DO NOT call the home office. They won't speak to you, as you a just a peon----even if you are a manager, regional or district. If you send in paperwork for direct deposit (mandatory) and there is a mistake (even if they transpose the numbers and create the mistake), they will not inform you or your manager....they say they are just too busy. POOR POOR COMMUNICATION in all aspects of this company. My advice...keep searching.
