Thanks for the feedback! We agree that we can expand our safety programs and initiatives beyond those that are already in place (documented on our internal wiki). To address this, we are currently hiring for a Safety Manger to lead this initiative, as well as a Learning & Development Manger to put the right safety trainings in place in addition to the trainings we currently offer. We recognize that with our rapid team growth over the last year and a half, we need to continue scaling our organizational infrastructure to match our size. Although in the last year we have introduced management training, formal performance reviews, and are now building a leveling structure, we still are working to develop programs helpful to all employees, regardless of their role or longevity on our team. If there are additional programs you’d like to see us prioritize, please share them with me directly, with our People Business Partner team, your manager, or in our anonymous engagement survey. We appreciate the insight into your experience at Helion.

Pros

Friendly and helpful staff. Open minded culture/inclusivity Team events Company held events Excellent pay Feedback oriented Mission driven Leadership coaching & improvement Excellent benefits & stock options Monthly lunches provided by company Monthly Canteen snack subsidy Cool mission with a "can do" attitude

Cons

- Mixed perspectives of prioritization across teams. - Some communication barriers, (people think they're clear when they're not, or think they have conveyed the obvious when it's only obvious to them.) - Some employees lack patience for project updates, killing their own morale. - Mixed ideas of what new mission critical roles should be, delaying execution - Lack of communication on new business critical developments in the past, slowly improving though.

Pros

Because its a growing company, there is a ton of room for career growth, and you can stretch into areas that you normally would not be allowed to with a larger company. Also, people see your worth and the work you do; even in roles that are normally under-appreciated in large organizations, the value of that work is seen here.

Cons

Because it is a growing company, it does often require you to do more above and beyond what your work load would typically be at a bigger company.
