      Building Environments Where People Can Reach Their Full Potential

      Pros

      Henderson Engineers is a great place to work. There is a lot of career advancement opportunities in part due to the rate at which the company is growing. Company culture (from my observation) is very positive, which is a great testament to the leadership's attempt at fostering an environment where people can reach their full potential. I have yet to meet someone in leadership that isn't approachable, even the executive officer group. The culture places a big emphasis on quality, something which helps take some of the stress off the designers/engineers as every project that gets sent out has a second pair of (friendly) eyes on it. Finger pointing is discouraged, solution finding is encouraged. If you are looking for a company where you can grow, learn, and become a better professional (or person), I can't think of many (if any) firms better than Henderson Engineers. Pay is very competitive with other firms.

      Cons

      The healthcare benefits are good, but could be better, specifically for family coverage (Healthcare benefits are great for single employees).

      Work Hard Play Hard Give Back!

      Pros

      We have this motto for a reason. We work hard as a team to be the best in the field - from our Admins to the Owners. We're committed to our employees and our clients. We put in long hours when needed and meet crazy deadlines - but it's all ok b/c we PLAY HARD too! We have a lot of internal activities for employees and families, we have game rooms and work out facilities to alleviate stress, and just an overall relaxed environment which makes it easy to come to work. The Give Back piece is an added bonus which allows us to pay it forward and it feels good to donate your time and resources.

      Cons

      As we continue to grow I think it will be a challenge to maintain the same culture but I know that this is very important to the owners and Board of Directors so they're constantly keeping an eye on how they will be able to maintain this. I also think that with all the competition in this industry we'll need to think outside the box with benefits and what other ways we can attract strong talent.
