A Good Company to Work for

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

*Regarding work experience, it really depends in which group you are working. "If You are in the right group" working in this company would be very pleasant and satisfying. *Company's culture is good and most of the people are respectful. *The Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) during summer is very good. Every other Friday you would be off, however you need work 90 hours for two week to get the Friday off. *Acceptable work-life balance. *Pay is slightly above average.

Cons

*Paid vacation is less than other companies. For the first 5 years you would only receive 10 days of paid vacations and 15 days after that. *They still operate as a traditional company. Sometimes they can be very old school. *Most of the times you would see resistance for changes or development in current methods. *There is little to no investment in the employee in terms of career development and technical knowledge improvement. They are not very open to training or other learning paths that would cost them. * Sometimes you are not provided with all the necessary tools to perform your job. * They don't really care about efficiency in this company.

Thank you for your 4 Star Review. We are very proud of our company culture and glad you enjoy the flexibility our AWS program gives you. We would like to point out the expectation is work 80 hours in two weeks not the 90 you stated. Your kind words are appreciated and we will look for ways to improve from your suggestions.

Pros

Decent sized company where It's hard to get fired. They post most internal job openings. They have a great education assistance program. Claim to have an open door policy. Offer 401k match. Longevity is common.

Cons

Atmosphere is like high school. The "click" crowd has all the power and the good positions are given to people who are in the click and pre-approved to have them. If your personality does not fit you will not be invited into the click and have an "equal and fair" chance for career advancement. Job assessments and goals are completely useless and the biggest joke of the company. Raises are not based on those assessments as they are supposed to be, but rather determined by how the boss wants to dish out the available raise money. I've personally seen someone with half the score of a co-worker get double the raise. 401k match is not consistent. Open door policy is not enforced. When managers get skipped over on issues they are allowed to put the person in the dog house.

Pros

If you work hard then there are advancement opportunities. They like to promote from within which is great. Benefits are good

Cons

The bad is that there are "cliques" and favoritism is very noticeable. Besides that there not much bad things to say.
