Great Pay and Benefits, Horrible Work Culture
Pros
Pay and benefits. In the past also a great place to be mentored by some of the top researchers in the industry.
Cons
Leadership is not engaged. Business is composed of silos, and people are not willing to break out of them. Zero training or mentorship for new or current employees. Quite a few of the employees are put on a performance plan with a path for termination, instead of sitting down with them and providing training/ coaching and mentorship. Majority of day to day work is performed by undertrained contract workers. No innovation in research, I feel as if everyday we are re-inventing the wheel and copying the competitors. As most companies, Henkel has had a reduction in personnel over the years so the remaining personnel are taking on the responsibility of 2-3 people, without leadership taking this into consideration when setting timelines.
