Pros

All Project Managers, Superintendents (both Area & Project), and Office Engineers, started in the company as Field Engineers. There is a streamlined path for growth given one's desire to lead in the field as a Project Superintendent or in the office as a Project Manager or much more. Immense responsibility given and the experience is plentiful, with great opportunity to see multiple projects in various phases. Opportunity to work on some pretty cool projects (see their website). Starting salary for Field Engineers matches the national average.

Cons

Normal days may be comprised of 12-hour shifts with possible weekend and holiday work. One's ability can sometimes be defined by their respective subcontractor's performance.

Pros

Benefits are solid. Coworkers are great.

Cons

Bad work/life balance. I've never worked less than 60 hours a week, on a low to industry standards salary. Hire more dircet hire field staff or pay us by the hour. Tired of being a wage slave. It's not like this at other companies, I don't care what the HP HR/PR/Social Media team member answering responding to reviews on here says.

Without knowing your work history or how many places you’ve worked, it is hard to know if the other companies you reference are in the construction world? We are not aware of any large General Contractor that builds world-class projects that can consistently provide forty-hour weeks to employees. Our salary and benefits comprise an excellent package for our employees. The majority of our employees believe their hard work and positive attitude benefit them over the long term with a great career. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Dynamic work environment. A commitment to quality work and excellence.

Cons

Working 60+ hours on a 40 hour contract. Discrimination was a common office place theme. Inner circle of "plugged in" people.
