Pros

Good team, good first level managers, interesting projects. Easy job, good benefits, good pay - as long as you negotiate for it.

Cons

Incompetent project management; keep missing deadlines; still stuck in waterfall; complete chaos with respect to planning, estimating, requirements. Senior management does not have an open door policy. Unhappy teams kept silent. Management seeks fault in employees rather than take accountability and ownership. Forced overtime and weekends to compensate for project management's failures. Going above and beyond goes unappreciated. Senior management will flex its "legally we can tell you when, where, and how to work" muscle, and literally put 20 people in a room with no windows that is meant for 10 people to work when they feel projects are not being delivered on time. No retrospectives and thus keep repeating the same mistakes. Overcrowded cubicles due to insufficient space. No strategic thinking, all is tackled brute-force.

Pros

Car privilege. Don't have to pay for insurance, gas or maintenance.

Cons

Over the last year Hertz has severed ties with long term manager's in order to reduce salary overhead. Total disregard to those manager's that have put in long hours and under less than favorable conditions.

Terrible Employer

Pros

A paycheck and benefits. That is it.

Cons

Stay far away from this company. There is a reason Hertz made Glassdoor's list of worst employers to work for. Don't believe all these positive reviews management is posting on here. It's an awful company to work for. Starting pay is pathetic. They want a college degree but they only pay $10-11 an hour and the bonus plan is always changing, so that you can hardly make any money. The customers are just awful to work with and make stupid demands when they come in.
