Pros

Good training programs and initiatives. Pay for performance compensation rewards those that work hard.

Cons

Since being sold by Ford, the company has gone downhill. If you want to blame the economy just at Enterprise which seems to be doing fine. Or look at Hertz Equipment Rental. Ten years ago, it was the largest equipment rental company in the United States. Is it third or fourth down the list now? The senior management teams' experience with manufacturing has not translated well to dealing with the customer service make it or break it environment that Hertz competes in.

Pros

You've been here for many years and hope that you can survive until the next senior management team is in place. You hope there is something left after they are done making their millions.

Cons

Threat of sudden layoff. Poor senior management team from outside the rental car business. Change for the sake of change, and not because it is the right change. No clear short-term or long-term plan or strategy. Conflicting activities.
