Pros

Medical benefits! Free car, insurance, gas for managers! Never have to luxury to be bored...

Cons

If I had to write it all out, it would literally take weeks To sum it up: Long hours, work holidays, weekends, overnights, extreme workload, inhuman expectations, city manager does not care about you at all, severely understaffed, extremely low pay for management, besides cleaning cars and shoveling snow, managers have to do garbage too! location manager is only a title! they make you do everything just to cut cost! and I MEAN EVERYTHING!

Pros

I have been in the business for well over 20 years and have worked at the competition. Hands down Hertz is the best of the lot. Sr Management is transparent, salary is more than fair, benifits are great, employees are empowered and management actually cares about the employees. As long as you perform in the company, the sky is the limit

Cons

As with any business that is open 24/7 365, hours are not 9-5 weekends off. Newer employees shift/hours will improve the more tenure the accrue.

Pros

We are transforming into a company that is much more transparent. We have several new initiatives and tools that will assist us in monitoring performance and recognizing hard work. Opportunities will be almost exclusively metric driven by performance. We continue to improve in our overall successes and minimizing long term concerns and there is effective communication from the CEO to the Field. It is a very encouraging place to work in and with Senior Mgmt the communication appears to be on the same page top down but also a good opportunity for feedback back upwards to all levels.

Cons

24 hour operations, always something happening, ( which can be a positive if you like activity ) several report cards, some of which almost contradict each other. Overall fair, equitable and metric driven towards success.
