Pros

Senior Management has done a good job of being transparent vs. other companies I have worked for and has been responsive to ideas and concerns of the employees. The benefits/perks are good (401k, Employee Stock Purchase, gym, etc.) and management is supportive on a work/life balance. Also, upward mobility is supported as there are a number of new initiatives helping to grow internal talent and define growth paths.

Cons

Systems (and email) are dated and could use upgrading. There are still a number of employees who are not embracing the changes.

Pros

Management listens to suggestions. Promotion oppportunities exist for people that perform. Regular communication from Senior Management. Able to take risks and not be penalized for this effort.

Cons

Not given the recognition from the public/financial community that should be given. No other cons noted at this time.

Pros

Having weathered the economic recession, Hertz now has a solid growth plan. Especially in Oklahoma City, it is one of the few companies that you can work for where you have to opportunity to be involved in truly global projects and really gain expertise in working for a multi-national company. Employees truly care about upholding the reputation and brand of Hertz, which makes it a great environment to try new innovative things. Senior management that has come onboard in the past 2-3 years really models the belief that we DON’T just continue to do things a certain way because we’ve “always done them that way.”

Cons

Playing some “catch up” with programs that other companies of their size already have – HR employee self-service, strong career development programs, employee perks – but those programs are all being implemented and senior management understands the importance of them.
