Pros

They claim to offer promotion from within and to not micro manage

Cons

They don't promote past assistant manager from within. Managers can micro manage depending on who manages.

Pros

On-site teams generally are very supportive and are very encouraging of growth. Regional teams may also be supportive, to an extent.

Cons

- Corporate teams struggle to communicate, whether internally or externally. Found myself looping through the same questions/answers when talking to multiple people on the same team, as well as different teams. - In the past year, all system updates and/or new system rollouts have been executed in the worst fashion I have ever encountered. Multiple days of no access to new systems, when we are locked out of old systems, and system updates take multiple months to iron out issues that could easily be avoided. Will also point out that feelings about recent new system implementations have been reportedly vastly negative from on-site teams. - The Director of Operations is incredibly unapproachable, often leaving snide/rude remarks to genuine questions that are asked. - It is encouraged that you act cheerful and positive when C-suite and Regional VP's visit your property, and not bring up/hide issues with the property until after they leave. - There is an incredible lack of growth within the company. To go from a leasing agent into an Assistant Community Director position, which has double (or more) the workload that the Leasing Agent has, you must take a pay cut, to be paid "in experience." All corporate office positions appear to be in office, which require that you move to Texas.
