Pros
Jack Domme, who runs HDS as well as two other Hitachi subsidiaries, also and an executive officer position with the parent company. His management style gets the most out of the people who work closely with him. Each person gets a piece of the puzzle from Jack, and they have to collaborate to assemble the bigger picture. The resulting picture is always far more nuanced than what Jack had initially. The company is highly ethical, in its business dealings and dealings with employees.
Cons
Like any company in high tech, it can be a very demanding place to work. Under previous regimes, the work/life balance picture skewed people towards burnout.
