Family run business. Sundays off. Great pay for full time employees. Great atmosphere for customers to shop. Lots of products to choose from.

Cons

Needs better management with better communication. Lots of favoritism between management and some employees.

Pros

10.hr to start part time Sunday off (I've been their 1 yr and worked one Sunday over Holliday's it was task specific we left as soon as we were done at 10 although we were scheduled 8 too noon so we teamed up and knocked it out.) Team oriented Nobodys personal quirks to deal with. Hobby lobby is easy to do and easy to deal wit and also they are a christian atmosphere so Christians and non-christians all can get to enjoy the benefits of a good value system. the people I work with are very diverse from Christian to atheist all walks of life . at first I was surprised that there is so many different types of people and they all get along and all work for Christian company and there's really no sense of any pressure of any kind from anyone.I'm 34 and a single dad and have my daughter with me and I am very grateful that I found this job part time while I go back to school for the good pay there's nothing else that fits all of this anywhere around where I am everywhere else is 8.50 an hour and a lot of unbelievable crap to deal with from people problems too job task problems. I'll be leaving Hobby Lobby pretty soon and I know already that I will forever be very grateful for my time here I've worked a lot of jobs I stepped down to this job from another job in order to go back to school and it's been amazingwhen I went looking for a part time job to go back to school I got very discouraged because I did not think that I was going to be able to handle working with the types of people in types of jobs in just all the crap you have to deal with for management people & personal quirks and I got Hobby Lobby and I feel so refreshed and just happy about the fact that I haven't had to deal with that kind of crap here. That was the most anxiety that I was experiencing in my search for somewhere to work. unless your lazy and ridiculous this job is easy to do and do whatever else you are doing.

Cons

I work in the frame shop and sometimes the customers are very rude to each other and set things on top of other customers artwork and other customers let their kids run around and handle sharp dangerous tools and run back into the frame shop where there's a lot of shards of glass in different things I'm working on and there's not really anything that you can really do. that's probably the greatest stress I experience. I'm watching one customer get upset and sad because another customer is letting the children destroy their artwork and they are too polite to say anything about it
