Pros
Having Sundays off and closing at 8 is a big plus, regardless of your spiritual beliefs. It's fun to see all the different hobby stuff and learn about different crafts. It's not much different than other retail work I've done, despite the differences in corporate culture at the higher level. They worked around my school schedule pretty well, which is necessary for a college student.
Cons
When I was there, being part-time wasn't an issue, which has since changed. Holidays are a nightmare, staying almost 2 hours late to clean up the store, only to see it destroyed again by 10 a.m. the next day. Customers will expect you to know everything about every item, and will get angry if something they want isn't on sale, or isn't priced, since there are no barcode scanners. Like every other job, it depends on who the management is when it comes to how smoothly things go.
