Pros

The corporation is doing well and its good job security in these trying times. THere is always a great deal of work to do and it is never boring.

Cons

Get used to working ridiculous hours under stress and silly deadlines. The upper management have no idea how long things really take and demand instant results but at the same time are harking on you about your payroll. If you are good at losing 20-30 days off a year and not getting them back or being offered any comp time for extra hours worked then again this place is good for you. If you work 80 hours one week and the next you need to leave an our early for a doctors appoitnemnt be ready to make up that hour by being forced to stay late the next day. Again its ridiculous. But if you need a job, you need a job. Retail sucks and retial management is the worse so you have to expect it. But do not be fooled by the recruiter it is not any different then the rest fot he retial world.

Pros

It was a good position while I was in college. Hours were flexible and expectations were not particularly high from either management or customers.

Cons

Advancement opportunities were non-existent. The owners of the company are evidently very religious. Also, the good 'ole boy network is alive and well at Hobby Lobby. Not advanced in the technology sector, and the company is probably losing a lot of money through poor inventory management and an outdated point of sale.

Pros

There is a lot of experience to be had working in the framing dept of Hobby Lobby. Of course, I am still new. So far it's good experience. Sundays off. Closes at 8p.m.

Cons

Can get hectic and a bit chaotic. Been warned that customers can get very upset -- as in any retail job for that matter. Lack of regular weekly scheduling makes it hard to plan around.
