Pros

pays more than min wage

Cons

forced to work overtime W/out pay. you are scheduled to work 12hr days for multiple days in a row and then are cut at the end of the week so they wont have to pay you overtime yet your body has already suffered for the overtime pay. manager incompotent. employees treated like slaves and management belittles employees. the co manager at this store does more work than the manager but is always thrown under the bus by the manager so he doesnt look bad. the manager does nothing in this store unless the district manager is coming in. the district manager is nice but if u talk to him the manager threatens to fire you because he is so scared someone will tell on him. this is supposed to be a christian ran store...yet they treat their employees like trash. we work at a store that our salaries cant afford to even shop at because all we get is 15% off...basically tax..the greed at hooby lobby is amazing. not to mention the store is still in the stone ages!

Pros

None if your management person

Cons

Pay seems fair until you find out a 6 day work week open to close almost every week. Only 2 salary managers and 2 hourly asst managers. From be black Friday to Christmas Eve no time off and 15 hour days. Fired 2 workers while I was there that were injured on the job and somehow that was legal.

Pros

Clean. Customers are fairly nice, co workers seem to help each other out. They are understanding with time off. Job doesn't have quotas or time limits with each transaction so you're not rushing to get grandmas out. Its also nice that you're not trying to sell something to customers.

Cons

You have to type everything in manually which can lead to mistakes if your not watching. Even the discounts for items on sell. You have to learn the fliers so that if a sell item comes up you can input it properly to comp. No water at cashiering stations (I truly do not understand this one). Also no tattoo showing policy. Which seems strange to me since 1/2 of all the customers have visible tattoos now days. (i counted one day)
