Thank you for leaving a review. Travel and long hours are common in the construction industry, and Holder appreciates the dedication of our hardworking associates. To foster work-life balance, we encourage using Paid Time Off and asking for help when workload feels unmanageable.

We give our associates great responsibility which can often lead to long work hours. We care about each associates’ wellbeing and provide benefits, such as Paid Time Off, annual bonus program, Wellness Program, Employee Assistance Program, etc., to help to offset this. Associates should always talk to their managers when they feel workload has become too demanding.

Pros

Holder does a good job of trying to make employees feel appreciated and valued. - Yearly bonuses and merit increases (raises). - Development opportunities are there for the taking, but you have to seek them out. - Leadership is approachable and available to listen to concerns. - Every project has a different cast, but the CLT Airport Project has an outstanding team and great leadership.

Cons

- Healthcare package is a little sub-par. Insurance coverage is below average and the costs are high if you have a family. Not the end of the world though. - There are some leaders in the company who are not good at leading, are not willing to help teach less experienced employees, and expect newbies to know everything they know. This is not a Holder problem though, you will find this everywhere. - Work/life balance sometimes has to be sacrificed. This is an industry wide issue. Holder employees hold each other accountable to uphold the sanctity of work/life balance. The only times I've been expected to put in more hours were for short bursts of effort directly related to a near-term deadline.
