Pros

None. Salary isn’t good you work overtime and weekends and don’t get payed extra take that into account your losing money over time

Cons

Salary isn’t good you work overtime and weekends and don’t get payed extra take that into account your losing money over time. Toxic work environment managers and superintendents on power trips. No work life balance don’t fall for there brainwashing they do on new hires if you want a life go find another job most the people working at holder are miserable the only ones who enjoy the company are the higher ups who only come visit and drop in every couple of weeks while the actual employees practice indentured servitude all day on the job sites with no lives. Just telling you the honest about a day at holder

We acknowledge that long hours are common in the construction industry, but we never want associates to feel underappreciated. In the spirit of developing each other, one of our cultural attributes, we encourage managers to give and associates to actively seek out feedback. We are very sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience.

Pros

It allows you to be part of cool projects. It exposes you to pretty cool technology and it gives you a lot of responsibility very quickly which it is very challenging but also motivating. Good bonus IF you are buddies with the PM.

Cons

Because of the amount of work and responsibilities they give you from the get go there is no enough time for training. What they preach in the Atlanta office culture about helping new people progress is completely false, based on my experience. There is a lack of work/life balance. You are expected to work long hours and after doing so for 2-3 years if your relationships with the PM is not strong they do not promote you. 100% not recommended.

Thank you for your feedback – we're glad to hear you felt challenged in your role. Giving our associates great responsibility often leads to heavy workloads and long hours, but should not come at the expense of work-life balance. While associates frequently move and shift, maintaining a consistent culture on jobsites and in our offices is something we are always working on. Our bonus and promotion processes are a performance-based, transparent process and evaluated by several leaders and opinions. We invite anyone with questions on the process to reach out to your manager for more detail.
