Horrible Tech Shop - Wait for leadership change

Pros

The company is growing. They like to cut the grass on the golf courses. Sunshine in Florida is really great. If they fix the software development department which fixes some internal system problems, the place may explode with more growth.

Cons

To be clear which side of the tech shop is being reviewed, it is the software department, known as BIT. The proximity to the 429 tollway means you will be paying a lot of tolls to go to work. They terminated the work from home program. They invest time and energy listening to non-technical employees, and ignore technical guidance. They burn through technical employees at an alarmingly high rate. They strongly prefer H1B employees from India over local talent. They can not deliver projects. The leadership is fast to blame and have employees quit by treating them unfairly, or have them terminated. Absolutely no accountability! Runs like a collective organization on the surface. When the collective mentality has been put to a vote or a test numerous times, it's been discovered the place actually runs like a dictatorship camouflaging her will as "agreed by everyone". Software professionals beware. This place is a death trap on your career.

Pros

You don't work in a office sometimes you get the chance to work at different events and shows if not then your stuck in malls. If you make sales then you can have a better chance to getting better events for more money. No matter what you do you won't get fired. They have some great employees there that will help and train you also one great supervisor. You are able to work at six flags white Sox stadium go to different events. Once you become supervisor you get base salary plus commission. Otherwise hourly or commission whatever is greater.

Cons

Even if you sell 20 deals in a week doesn't mean you'll get paid for them. You only get paid for who actually COMPLETES the tour. So even if your customers go to the resort and sit there for 3 hours before there tour then decide to leave because there so angry you won't get paid because they didn't tour. There are 3 different job titles here opc which I just described lead gens (which we see almost as professional beggars) and FTF which is a harder package to sell but at least you get paid as soon as you make the deal. There is no room to grow in this company as well. They continue to keep a supervisor in his position even though the whole company has complained about him being horrible at his job. Everybody knows though that he is able to get away with everything because he is friends with management.
