Pros

Good financial compensation and benefits, small hospital, management wants employee feedback, close contact with the management team and they keep employees updated, excellent culture and everyone says hi and acknowledges each other, work and home life are easy to balance and managers are understanding, i feel very supported by my coworkers/team, you have to work closely together being a small hospital. It’s a very positive place to work.

Pros

I love my job because it is rewarding to be able to help people get insurance when they need it. It is at times challenging, but that is what keeps the job interesting! I have interactions with staff and patients in many departments, and have seen genuine care and commitment to our patients among all the staff AND upper management.

Cons

Some of our buildings are very old, and the hospital has not yet been required to install elevators in those buildings. Most of them are only used by staff and not patients, but we have some staff, myself included, who have difficulty climbing several flights of stairs to attend meetings. If funding became available, I'd like to see elevators installed.
