Holyoke Medical Center reviews

I am very thankful to be part of such a community. As a 22 year old soon to be 23, the managers of the hospital have provided me with much more than just a job; they have given me role models to look up to. All staff, from managers to nurses to janitors work with such a sense of purpose. The plethora of "thank you" letters we receive, the "success stories" of our patients and the general sense of accomplishment we all feel at the end of each day are enough to keep us going. And It is because we truly believe in everything this hospital stands for that we keep going. And because Holyoke as an underserved area needs a hospital and community like this the most. The behavioral health unit that I am familiar with, has such a connected team and it really comes down to great people working there as well as our manager Melissa always listening to us, organizing team-building gatherings outside work, working with everyone's schedule and keeping a great attitude always. Our president Spiros does an amazing job keeping everyone informed about whats happening in the hospital on a *daily* basis. During this crises he has been going above and beyond to ensure everyone remains positive and calm. He made the decision to accept a large group of veterans that would have otherwise been in great risk of infection ! Everyone then posted on their social media accounts and managed to gather donated goods for our veterans. Speak about teamwork! Everything we do at this hospital comes from a feeling of *personal* duty and that is what makes what we do here much more rewarding than just a job . All staff is cooperating fully, volunteering to work overtime, changing departments if needed and doing everything needed to get through this. A big thank you to all managers, nurses, housekeepers, etc. who make a great team and work so hard. It's a pleasure to work among such dedicated people. Thanks HMC!
